Pros

great entry level pay job is pretty easy . insurance is decent . decent early time off

Cons

there are approximately 50-60 machines called move x 's at chewy that outbound uses to lug 100+ pound carts around however there are 80-100 people in outbound. now this is a massive problem at chewy because if you do not show up an hour early to the wharehouse you most likely will be pushing carts around all day. scanners. the scanners here are like from the 90s or something and the wrist straps will not be available at the start of your shift if you arrive "ontime" 30 mins to an hour will let you get a scanner but you have to hide it or remain in the wharehouse until the start of shift. even the management know there arent enough move x's and scanners. they refuse to order more and laugh at the fights over move x's early at the start of your shift employees will steal your move x even if you sign it out or leave valuables such as water bottles or sweatshirts even badges. the shortages here make a calm 10 hr shift into a 11 hour shift and a race to beat other coworkers to work to insure your equipment. but if you hit a traffic jam while arriving early well enjoy pushing carts for 10+ miles and not having a wrist mounted scanner for 10 hours. im currently looking for a job or most likely transferring to a different department. these shortages make the hardest working people ive met leave the company. but enjoy your 5 week adventure at chewy 😅

Pros

I am an artist and I get to do an art-related job. The schedule is flexible when things pop up. I get health insurance and 401k and a lot of free food, and there is free gym access in the office building. The people I work with are all generally very cool, friendly, and/or fun to work with.

Cons

The pay rate is below the industry standard for production artists. I am not able to afford a place of my own. I live with my parents and I work another job to supplement my income. I am basically surviving and able to pay all my bills, but I would not be able to live a full life on my own with the pay rate as it is now. The work culture portrays itself as progressive and inclusive place but it is the typical corporate toxic environment.
