Pros

- I don't have a pet, but the 20% discount. - Dual monitors - but wish I could get a MacBook

Cons

The treatment of employees is horrible and disrespectful. Leadership is secretive and reminds me of all the articles that I've read about Snapchat and Uber's toxic cultures. Maybe that is a fit for you, but it doesn't vibe well for me and others. There is absolutely no growth or career development at Chewy (even though they preach it), which makes me want to leave, but I can't at this moment due to my financial situation. The PTO policy treats you like a child - you will need a doctors note if you are absent from work. The CEO, Ryan, really smart, but made very questionable hires - by hiring his childhood friends and shows no care for his employees. If you don't fall within the "inner circle" you are left in the dark and treated poorly - I look around and see closed door meetings going on with the chiefs. The don't look like meetings, but hangout time with buddies. Honestly, there are so many other great companies in SoFlo and in other cities, but Chewy is not one of them. Don't be fooled - if you have other options I would seriously consider them.

Pros

I am an artist and I get to do an art-related job. The schedule is flexible when things pop up. I get health insurance and 401k and a lot of free food, and there is free gym access in the office building. The people I work with are all generally very cool, friendly, and/or fun to work with.

Cons

The pay rate is below the industry standard for production artists. I am not able to afford a place of my own. I live with my parents and I work another job to supplement my income. I am basically surviving and able to pay all my bills, but I would not be able to live a full life on my own with the pay rate as it is now. The work culture portrays itself as progressive and inclusive place but it is the typical corporate toxic environment.
