Pros

I've been with Chewy for 2 years. I'm not a millennial. I don't have blue hair or tattoos. I worked hard since day one and have been promoted multiple times due to my dedication to what I do. I see a lot of negative reviews and I'm not surprised. Chewy isn't for everyone. We expect you to work hard, to be kind to your customers and coworkers. We expect you to work when you're scheduled and work hard. We're growing so quickly and it gets busy here. A lot of the negative reviews I've read are not surprising. There are some people that can't handle the work load. There are some people that think they're better than the position they're in. They don't want to or can't prove their own worth so they lash out. It's understandable. Not everyone is Chewy Strong. But those of us that are, this is an amazing company with so much opportunity. I see worthy associates get promoted almost daily. And by the way, no one has ever asked me or recommended that I write a positive review and I have never asked anyone to write a review. Those that say this are not being honest.

Cons

We're growing so fast that we need to relocate to a bigger space and it's a few miles farther from my house. That's really all I can think to say here.

Pros

I am an artist and I get to do an art-related job. The schedule is flexible when things pop up. I get health insurance and 401k and a lot of free food, and there is free gym access in the office building. The people I work with are all generally very cool, friendly, and/or fun to work with.

Cons

The pay rate is below the industry standard for production artists. I am not able to afford a place of my own. I live with my parents and I work another job to supplement my income. I am basically surviving and able to pay all my bills, but I would not be able to live a full life on my own with the pay rate as it is now. The work culture portrays itself as progressive and inclusive place but it is the typical corporate toxic environment.
