Pros

- Decent pay for working in a call center - Good benefits - Get to work around animals

Cons

- Interviewers are very biased. I was hired, but I watched a lot of people who were also very qualified get rejected. I was lucky to get a nice interviewer, but many of the other recruiters were very harsh to many of the other applicants. - Once I was hired, the trainer was incredibly rude. An employee raised her hand to ask about the late policy and was immediately shut down. She was told that being late was "unacceptable". We attempted to ask what would happen in the case that we were late due to unforeseeable circumstances, she shut us down once more and ignored anymore questions about the subject. - Management is very toxic. They are inexperienced and seem like they are on a constant power trip. - They don't care about your education. We had a trainer tell us that he wished he didn't "waste his time on school" because he makes more working at Chewy than he would with his degree. This made me particularly angry because I watched people drop out of school to solely focus on their jobs at Chewy. While I agree that Chewy may be a great career for many people, they should not have discouraged young students from continuing their education.

Pros

I am an artist and I get to do an art-related job. The schedule is flexible when things pop up. I get health insurance and 401k and a lot of free food, and there is free gym access in the office building. The people I work with are all generally very cool, friendly, and/or fun to work with.

Cons

The pay rate is below the industry standard for production artists. I am not able to afford a place of my own. I live with my parents and I work another job to supplement my income. I am basically surviving and able to pay all my bills, but I would not be able to live a full life on my own with the pay rate as it is now. The work culture portrays itself as progressive and inclusive place but it is the typical corporate toxic environment.
