Pros

Nice office with some nice people, but that number is shrinking at an alarming rate. Open office Smells nice with a BBQ joint located downstairs

Cons

Unclear direction that starts from the top and is repeated without any questioning leading to working harder not smarter. Poor leadership and bad communication leading to working harder not smarter. Questionable decisions for product lines leading to working harder not smarter. Boston vs. Fort Lauderdale rivalry with appeasement policy that leads to working harder not smarter. Nepotism and favoritism that allows for reorder of effort and priorities which leads to working harder not smarter. Hiring based on past affiliation not actual merit which leads to working harder not smarter. Hiring is based on what the VPs of Engineering ( there are more than you can shake a stick at) and CTO thinks the teams need not what the directors think their team needs which leads to working harder not smarter. Clandestine firing/disappearance of key employees which leads to working harder not smarter. HR claims benefits are best of breed in the industry leaving out what decade that was.

Pros

I am an artist and I get to do an art-related job. The schedule is flexible when things pop up. I get health insurance and 401k and a lot of free food, and there is free gym access in the office building. The people I work with are all generally very cool, friendly, and/or fun to work with.

Cons

The pay rate is below the industry standard for production artists. I am not able to afford a place of my own. I live with my parents and I work another job to supplement my income. I am basically surviving and able to pay all my bills, but I would not be able to live a full life on my own with the pay rate as it is now. The work culture portrays itself as progressive and inclusive place but it is the typical corporate toxic environment.
