Pros

Happy hour? Starts around 6pm because the CEO doesn't believe in them but wants this to still be considered a perk. Work-life balance? If you show up later than 8:30am and leave earlier than 6pm, prepared to get talked to because management thinks it shows you don't work hard enough. Want to go out for lunch? Some teams encourage it while others prohibit you from leaving the office. Have any appointments? Be prepared to ask why you couldn't schedule it during the weekend. Yes, they have some fun little events they do for food but it's only for Social Media to get content.

Cons

Favoritism is a real thing, especially here. One team member can be working from home 2 days a week but if you try you get told you need to be in the office. Leave town for PTO and you still get told you need to be on your laptop. Chewy is notorious for allowing people who get their first manager title at Chewy to manage with no training. They micromanage and take advantage of their position to control everything their team does.

Pros

I am an artist and I get to do an art-related job. The schedule is flexible when things pop up. I get health insurance and 401k and a lot of free food, and there is free gym access in the office building. The people I work with are all generally very cool, friendly, and/or fun to work with.

Cons

The pay rate is below the industry standard for production artists. I am not able to afford a place of my own. I live with my parents and I work another job to supplement my income. I am basically surviving and able to pay all my bills, but I would not be able to live a full life on my own with the pay rate as it is now. The work culture portrays itself as progressive and inclusive place but it is the typical corporate toxic environment.
