Pros

Great benefits and compensation package Conscious effort around DEI, given strong presence in the Leadership team

Cons

Too many stories of projects being pushed forward that were crippled due to poor infrastructure, poor thought, too many egos, unclear goals, that lead to delays, loss of moral. Too many projects and alarms thrown down from the top. The leadership cares about the most minutia details, leaving little space for the mid managers to thrive and innovate. Leadership team thinks in terms of incrementally, in the name of 'Operate at Depth', and there is little scope for innovation. When you are fighting for survival and being able to answer all the small questions peppered by ELTs, there is no mental capacity to 'Think Big'. Time is spent in small details to make sure we can 'earn trust'. As a talent, I want to spend that time to Think Big, to really innovate and drive much bigger shareholder growth. A very unhealthy working environment. Error margin is small. Fear is constant. I would urge talented folks to leave, and I hear that many are.

Pros

I am an artist and I get to do an art-related job. The schedule is flexible when things pop up. I get health insurance and 401k and a lot of free food, and there is free gym access in the office building. The people I work with are all generally very cool, friendly, and/or fun to work with.

Cons

The pay rate is below the industry standard for production artists. I am not able to afford a place of my own. I live with my parents and I work another job to supplement my income. I am basically surviving and able to pay all my bills, but I would not be able to live a full life on my own with the pay rate as it is now. The work culture portrays itself as progressive and inclusive place but it is the typical corporate toxic environment.
