It's considered acceptable when my cat walks through my conference calls.
Cons
The Product team is driven primarily by fear. We seem to spend all our time pretending to make progress and waving ideas at leadership, but then decide not to test or launch anything with impact. The designers that do the work are good, but leadership is so afraid of change that they just hem and haw and spin in circles, all while quoting business jargon and operating principles and smiling. Half the team seems to have left in 2021 already. The developers seem capable, but the codebase is so tangled and the teams so siloed that the results are on par with 2001 quality. Product leadership and the executive team can best be described as "jerks".
