Pros

The immediate community of school staff and educators - everyone was supportive of each other. Everyone was kind to each other as well as the at-risk students.

Cons

Human resources, and other corporate offices were located in Phoenix. The communication from those offices was almost non-existent due to the constant 'changing of the guard' at the district level positions. Also, many school districts knew about, and planned for the Educational Funds being returned to the Feds. CPLC did not plan for it. What's more, I was led to believe that I would would move into a new position. I was told that i just needed to wait until the new Phoenix staff was settled. Instead, I was told, 3.5 weeks in to the school year, that I my last day would be in 12 days. According to the layoff letter, I should have had 60 days notice. Not only was I not given enough notice, I was not compensated for 60 days, nor did I receive my final 20+ hours of PTO. I sent emails to HR and was ghosted. No response what so ever.

Pros

I've been with the organization for roughly three years. During that time, I've experienced a change in Executive Leadership, a reorganization of different programs/departments, and changes in funding for some areas. The transparent communication of the new Exec. Leadership team has been a welcomed and long needed change. The flexibility that I'm given surrounding my work schedule has been a life changer and has made me more productive than I've ever been.

Cons

I can't immediately think of anything that is a CPLC only problem.

Pros

Good family community, good pay

Cons

Too much stress, bad management, no help when needed, the whole CORE IQ is fake, no one takes ownership of their mistakes and responsibilities, and if someone does try to feel a little empoweredthey are brought down and an HR ticket is submitted! Too much favoritism, and gossip by management
