Pros

Being able to help clients

Cons

One of the worst managements I have ever worked under. A total lack of communication from all ends, and that goes for if you have concerns about your clients or yourself. If you are having an issue with a client, you are on your own. I never received information on how to access payroll information online, and when I contacted HR I received an extremely aggressive email from the HR person that I should not be asking for this information, as I was already given it during my training. I was never given my PTO as they were changing their payroll system, and "no one knew how to put PTO in". Training does not exist, yet you are expected to know how all things operate. Overall, this company is not worth working for if you are looking to get experience. If you enjoy being underpaid and working under individuals who clearly do not know simple skills like communication, then this may be the place for you!

Pros

It seems so rare to have such a good experience at a job, especially community behavioral health. (so many horror stories) But this team was wonderful, honestly. I love the atmosphere; the employees are very friendly and helpful. My supervisor is kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. The other therapists are awesome and add value to my own knowledge. Great job for any level of experience, but terrific for new LMSW's cutting their teeth. I'm moving on due to location and a pay bump, but I'd come back in a second if lived closer (and maybe after I get my LCSW). A good community of clients to work with too.

Cons

Wasn't a big fan of benefits confusions when moving from part time to full time, but if that's my complaint, it is small. Also, insurance is expensive if you need to cover spouse. Individual insurance cost is really good though. Fee for service is difficult when you are an LMSW and the insurance you can take is limited - no shows are a bit higher when there are no penalty fees, and fee for service means no pay if no-show. However, there were fewer no-shows than other community behavioral healthcare practices than others that I have worked for.

Pros

I am here for the people we serve; management doesn't typically micromanage. Pay is good and health insurance is good.

Cons

There are two sets of standards; there are Employees and Management. At this time, chimes has taken almost everything good from there people including 1 of our 2 work from home days but of course Management comes and goes at they please and work from home more than others and when asked why you get lies.
