Some employees in upper management do their best to work with integrity and ethics

A key employee claims to have lost critical data during a security breach. This claim has allowed this employee to have the company at their mercy. It is a successful way of creating job security. My hope for the company is that they extract and document any process from this person so that they can stop robbing the company of their wages, including overtime. This person has lined their pockets so well, however, may have mismanaged their finances and ended up over their head in debt for their 3 homes, seadoos and vehicle(s). Once the company can harness this employees true instructions on how their system works, I am confident that they will be back in the green. After the CEO was asked to step down, likely for ensuring the good ol' boys were taken care of during his tenure, the new CEO cleaned house. It was long overdue. Such a shame to see so much potential get flushed down the toilet because of favoritism, egos and looking out for their own pockets vs. the company's caused a series of unfortunate events.
