Pros

Easy work, managers get to do pretty much whatever they want, you can get promoted by simply not quitting.

Cons

The pay is well below industry standards. Insurance costs about $115 a week if you are single. Family plans are much more expensive. The company cares very little if anything for it's employees: no time and a half for any holidays, no days off except Christmas Day, no manager development whatsoever. As managers, we are encouraged to treat cast members like human offal. The district manager doesn't care if we sell expired food even if it makes customers or fellow employees sick. Senior management is obsessed with labor cost because the company is over leveraged. CEC was recently bought out by an investment firm called Apollo, who after 3 months of ownership gave us the brilliant advice to "sell more." Magusiak was fired, but otherwise there has been little direction on Apollo's long term vision for CEC.
