Former employee - Software Engineer Ciena Employee Review

I joined the company with high hopes, but quickly became disillusioned. Once I got in, the projects we were working on were suddenly closed, and we were left without anything meaningful to do. After a while, a new manager was assigned to me, but the work environment felt more like a competition between employees than a place where individual contributions were valued. The company doesn’t seem to care about the long-term prospects of its employees, and there’s a constant threat of layoffs. Overall, it felt like a not great environment with little regard for its workforce.
