Pros
-My coworkers and staff are amazing since we’ve been through so much together with COVID -You get tuition assistance to UNT after a year of being a manager- but you have to stay with Cinemark for 8 years total for a four year degree of you choose to use it -Free movies for yourself, spouse, and a plus one -Free popcorn/soda on your break -Flexible schedule with school/life/etc. -Several opportunities for promotion from within -Pay is less than some senior floor staff for newer managers
Cons
-Management and staff come and go frequently- super high turnover -Had 4 different GMs since I started -Policies are fluid -Promotion from floor staff generates pretty power-hungry assistant managers which can cause drama and poor work ethic -Job security with the movie theater industry is bleak right now
