Pros
The employees are amazing. You get to see movies for free when you GET time.
Cons
Horrible pay, no overtime whatsoever. It’s so bad that even assistant management is working 2 jobs. They take so much out in taxes that even as an assistant manager you still make the same as an entry level employee. I was promised when I got hired a raise after a month and they after 6 months and haven’t even received an evaluation or anything. Upper Management is barely around. You have several assistant managers and 3 out of 7 actually work. The others sit in the office the whole shift doing nothing. General manager does nothing about this. It’s been like this for years, they don’t check in. Been there for several months and still not trained but on one area of the operation (Scooping popcorn). There’s so much lack of communication. They claim like you can move up ant a decent pace, but I don’t see that because you’re waiting in line behind several assistant managers. Not to mention they skip other assistant managers that have been they for awhile. The only way to move up to general manager anyways is to move to a whole other state cause they don’t have a whole lot of cinemarks in the area. They are so understaffed it’s not even funny. Don’t schedule enough people on busy days. Schedule too many people on slow days. You’re doing the job of 4 people and they have the audacity to try and tell you what aren’t doing right. On big holidays or opening days for big movies that they know a week in advance that ticket reservations are sold out and then they add more showtimes and don’t schedule hardly anyone on. The turnover rate is ridiculous here. Whatever you do stay away from this company. They are so poorly ran and they don’t care. They act like they do by saying fluff but they really don’t.
