Pros

Nice co workers, and benefits if they onboard you correctly.

Cons

I recognize that my experience with Cintas is not the standard experience. When I joined the company, I was thrilled at the idea of being with a company that offered so much stability, and promise for the future. However, Cintas continually over promised and under delivered on every occasion. Here are the multiple reasons why I left the company. Non payment for 5 weeks, even after escalating several times. I had to stop coming to work for it to be resolved. Never received payment for job shadow field day. Was never notified about enrolling in employee benefits, and when I met with HR he said "I wish I had checked in with you at your 20 day mark. I normally do that for all the new reps, but there's nothing we can do now." Misleading information regarding "sign-on bonus" and compensation plan. No consideration of the safety of reps during winter weather conditions. Field days with experienced reps took away from my own productivity. Lack of communication between sales manager and plant manager on my plant day. It was clear that they were not expecting me, and the person who I was scheduled to meet with did not show up until 4 hours in. This left me feeling very awkward, and the plant staff scrambling to figure out where to put me for the day. Overall a very unfortunate situation.

Pros

4 day work week and informed training

Cons

As an SSR, you're responsible for a lot; customer complaints, product shortages, bill discrepancies, customers that are in your face yelling/swearing. You are expected to give out your personal cell and email. With the average SSR having over 100 weekly clients, that's a lot of phone calls and emails, while you're already working a busy and physical job. They also claim you can make all these different bonuses. A lot of those bonuses are very small and capped. While I was there, I witnessed SSR's purposely overcharge clients on invoices just so that they could hit their numbers to attain a bonus. I did not enjoy having to have the same conversation over and over with clients that were overcharged.
