      Not a good place for software engineers | STAY AWAY - Senior Software Engineer Citco Employee Review

      Good office location, with cab facility.

      Cons

      It was one of my worst experiences working as software engineer for a company in India. There are critical bugs in the application that you solve by updating their databases and everyone is done. ZERO unit/integration tests. NO design patterns. Pure spagetti codebase. NO DOCUMENTATIONS. No communication setups with the product/business teams. Senior engineers are sitting here for long and no longer care about the developer experience. In the name of cybersecurity, you'll be entering passwords and OTPs 50% of your time working on your low-end work laptop. A few members in the HR team are utterly unproffessional.

      Pros

      Its best to work here for a few years and gain experience elsewhere.

      Cons

      Company went from 2 days on-site to now 3 days on-site, i dont mind it but this company has low morale and all the employees are sick of this place now. If you want a high salary but no opportunity to advance this is the place for you. 80% of the company is senior level and no room for growth or promotional opportunities.
