Pros

-technology is high-tech. geared towards automation vs manual labor. -not too stringent environment with a casual ambiance (cant say for other depts though) -great training ground -company with a global presence. brand recognition. -involved in outreach projects

Cons

-lousy salary & benefits. philippine local banks give better compensation packages. -uneven salary brackets. officers holding the same title have different salary brackets because they work for different departments. -too political. -support departments (eg human resources, compliance) are useless -top level managers are spoiled (eg personal/private bankers get too much bonuses/perks)

Pros

Great benefits. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They do more than just pay lip service to work life balance

Cons

Like any job, the manager is the one that can make or break the position

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
