Uninspiring leadership, lack of female leadership - glass ceiling, nice benefits, easy to make a mid level career there. - Risk Management Citi Employee Review

Pros

Some line's of business allow the ability to work from home (salaried employees C12 and above), but warning that now many require being on IM all the time and on video/camera make you feel micro managed when working from home. Nice benefits on vacation, sick and holiday time off for salaried employees.

Cons

Get as much money as you can upon initial hire. Big promotions come with small bumps in pay for twice the responsibility, stress, and hours. Raises and annual bonuses went from great to pathetic in the last 7 years. The office environment lacks passion and inspiration. The culture is dead, especially the Regent campus. Too many contractors.

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
