Pros

Clark is a good place to start your career in construction, for the sheer reason that you will be given so much work with very little training or oversight. If you can handle it, the company will give you a lot of opportunities, which is a great learning opportunity. Other pros: - Genuinely great people - Values team building - Lots of extracurriculars (DEI, conferences, etc)

Cons

Once you've gone beyond the basics at Clark, you will get stuck in the middle management role. It is hard to climb up the ladder without knowing the higher ups; people that you may rarely or never interact with on your project. You are highly encouraged (or sometimes volun-told) to take on leadership roles in activities outside your project (like company ERG groups or philanthropic efforts) but shouldn't mention this in your request for a raise or promotion. Other cons: - Poor training of management positions. You can become a people manager with no training on how to manage people. - Always looking to maintain the status quo - Lower pay than other similar companies - Professional hires get paid much more than people who were promoted into that role - Listens to feedback but almost never acts on it. - A ton of turnover with shifting responsibilities to make up for this.

Pros

Really good place to grow your career. You'll get a lot of responsibility that you might not get elsewhere

Cons

The reason they give so much experience to young people is because anyone with options flees like it's the plague. They make everything much more difficult than it needs to be. Turnover factory because no one wants to do extra hours of unnecessary work all inside an extremely tense culture. Never seen a company do things so backwards in precon because its "the Clark way" and then when it doesn't work out they are surprised. In many Clark regions they lose their competitiveness as soon as the market is good and subcontractors have a choice of who they will work with. There are so many incredible regional subs that wont touch Clark. The only people that last here are Clark Lifers or people who came from even more toxic offices who dont realize how backwards the Clark culture is
