Pros

Clean Harbors was once a great company, with a vision. However, the bigger the company gets the more out of touch they have become.

Cons

Bad management, no communication, no raises, no employee recognition, a Human Resource Dept. that should be renamed Corporate Excuses, policy and procedures guidelines that are not the same for everyone, a competency based pay program that is not followed, constant bickering between business units. Top heavy management that is completely and totally out of touch with what is going on in the field.

There are lots of wonderful initiatives happening right now that you may be unaware of. We have our Safety & Core Value Awards Program, Employee Recognition Program, Referral Bonus (in key locations), Intern Program, multiple Training and Development courses, an Employee Engagement Program which has tons of positive momentum and most recently we've added a new SVP of Total Rewards to address the feedback from the Employee Engagement Survey. Please reach out to your Manager or Chief Ambassador of Employee Engagement to learn of opportunities for you to become involved.

Pros

Plenty of hours between 75 to 80 hours a week minimum. Good place to get experience as a stepping stone.

Cons

You're always on call it is mandatory that you work three weekends a month both Saturday and Sunday including the 5-day work weeks Monday through Friday Technician. As a coordinator you work 6 day work weeks Sunday through Friday you only get Saturdays off it's a salary based position so you get no compensation if you work over 8 hours a day as a coordinator and you will work more than 8 hours a day your minimum will be 12 to 14 hours a day up to a maximum of 18 hours a day regularly.
