Long hours, decent wage, LOTS of training required (like at least 6 months to a year to be prepared for working alone) - Anonymous employee Clean Harbors Employee Review

Pros

Company pays well for training, pays for most of PPE required (nicer boots/prescription safety glasses require extra money employees), driver training provided to learn to drive box truck, paid every friday and encouraged to always fill out an expense report for expenses so you get your money back.

Cons

A lot of upfront costs while traveling, as a field chemist you never know what you will be doing more than a week in advanced. Travel for training in most areas involves weeks gone from home/family at a time. The only way to make good money when starting is to work 50-60 hour weeks (which is regular for most weeks). The company seems to be in a major transition and never stops buying up new companies.

Pros

Plenty of hours between 75 to 80 hours a week minimum. Good place to get experience as a stepping stone.

Cons

You're always on call it is mandatory that you work three weekends a month both Saturday and Sunday including the 5-day work weeks Monday through Friday Technician. As a coordinator you work 6 day work weeks Sunday through Friday you only get Saturdays off it's a salary based position so you get no compensation if you work over 8 hours a day as a coordinator and you will work more than 8 hours a day your minimum will be 12 to 14 hours a day up to a maximum of 18 hours a day regularly.
