Pros

Great cause. Get to know a lot of interesting people. If you're passionate about it, then maybe it's the job for you

Cons

Door to door canvassing. There is a quota for how much donations are needed each work day and that's how you get paid. Say you work 5 days, weekly quota is $950. You make $500. If you make less than $950 then you get 52% of what you collected or minimum wage, whichever is higher. You work in all weather conditions, raining, or boiling hot. Long hours on your feet. You are essentially walking by yourself, because you split up and cover about 6-9 streets for 5 hours in a random town going from door to door.
