Pros
Very close knit work environment with superiors that respect and value your input and are rooting for your success. Probably my favorite place I've ever worked because the collaborative atmosphere. Even when I was still learning the ropes I felt encouraged by my superiors, which made me actually excited to work. They spend a lot of time training you individually and every member of staff gets a weekly meeting with the regional director (who has an open door policy anyway) to discuss campaigns, ask questions, or just for general guidance. Which was really helpful as a college student. There is also a lot of opportunity for advancement within the organization.
Cons
Must be able to speak on a variety of environmental topics, which can be challenging. Also canvassing year round can be quite grueling, and is not for everyone. (as a grassroots org. all ranks participate in canvassing to some extent) You must meet a bi weekly donation quota and if you dont, they have to cycle you out. Even if you've been working there for a long time... It makes sense but can be stressful especially if you have a bad couple of weeks. However, they do give bonuses if you exceed donation quotas
