Pros

Co-workers, many of which I am still friends with Good place to start to build your resume and gain work experience Decent benefits for an individual Remote work during the pandemic Holiday bonuses and company gifts

Cons

Wages are a joke. They raised the starting wage so by the time I left, I was making $1 than new hires after being there for 5 years. Now with inflation, the wages are still low and many restaurants/fast food places/retail are paying more. Micromanaging has only gotten worse since WFH was put in place. Having leads and managers pick apart every single person's stats if they are idle for only a few minutes, which could be a break, lunch, or a long phone call. More harmful than helpful. No opportunities for growth, even though they advertise it as such. This also plays into the favoritism and nepotism so unless you are BFFs or related to management, you're out of luck. Many terribles managers have kept their jobs because of this. Extremely toxic work environment and workplace bullying is worse than high school. HR did not do a thing when I was being bullied by other teammates and some moved up to a higher position than me. Good employees are rewarded with more work and expected to pick up the slack for the rest of their teammates whereas terrible employees rarely are punished and in even worse circumstances rewarded, such as promotions or special projects. Overtime is just as bad as Amazon. Management uses OT as a threat, then offers pizza parties and gift cards as a reward. One incident involved the manager saying on a Friday afternoon that we have until Monday to do 10 hours of required OT. They eventually dropped it down to 8 hours. The employee engagement surveys are useless because senior management does nothing with the responses. Any sort of employee feedback is ignored and instead, management does the opposite. New hires are treated twice as better as current or veteran employees (catered lunches, higher wages, company issued equipment). When WFH was first implemented, employees had to request equipment they needed rather than the company supplying all the materials. Communication is non-existent. Management does not relay to the employees as to what is expected, then the employees are reprimanded because they were not informed. In one department, I was removed from the group chat with no notice then my tasks were taken away without my consent, even though I was only in the department part time.
