Pros

Helping patients and using your skills was rewarding. Some of the patients were nice and friendly.

Cons

Manager was a psychopath and a control freak. Played favorites with employees. Was working 12 hour shifts with no lunch break till the last hour, for like 10 minutes. You have to be at multiple places at once which is impossible. The nurse assistants (us) were severely understaffed. Was disrespected by other staff members and management, you're basically the bottom of the barrel and have take crap from everyone. Some of the patients treat you like their slaves, kick and punch you, abuse you etc. You basically wipe patients bottoms and do whatever they want because you are a slave even though most are capable of doing that themselves. This job is not for sensitive people. They treat you like garbage and pay almost nothing. They have you running around while other nurses are on Facebook or wasting time. There were too many to list. I advise people to not bother with this job. Rather be working at a store.

Pros

Health insurance and maternity benefits are great, though some people have been aggravated by the addition of a deductible in 2026. There is also decent tuition reimbursement, but you need to carefully read all of the policies as the wording can be tricky and even HR doesn't understand all of their own policies.

Cons

Pay seems inconsistent and raises are a joke, getting lower and later every year. PTO is decent but keep in mind that getting paid for holidays comes from that PTO and plan accordingly. HR is a complete JOKE! They never answer, don't seem to understand any of their policies, and have no idea what they are doing. It takes weeks to get ahold of anyone, and they are the farthest from helpful I've ever experienced. Retirement matching is based on years of service, they will put the money in the account but only vest after 3 years so don't count on the amount it shows unless you know 100% for sure you will be there more than 3 years.
