Great resources, great health insurance if needed, #2 hospital! Patients complex especially at main,-great learning, tuition reimbursement, my coworkers and patients keep me here. I love my job!
Cons
Still among the lowest paid nurses. Even with the latest increase. New nurses receive better raises than experienced and unit involved nurses, point system is not conducive to caregivers. I must come to work sick not to get an occurrence, staffing-they take floors that have tried to adequately staff and make them go up in patient load to accommodate units that haven’t staffed appropriately all the time! Nurses really don’t have a say as much as they tout we do. Upper management (includes doctors) make huge decisions affecting complete units without consulting the “worker bees” and have no idea the true ramifications of their decisions on the “working staff”.
