Pros
-Worthwhile mission -Respected organization with a good reputation -Many passionate employees who work towards improving patient care -The majority of employees are hard working and intelligent; you can learn a lot from them -Opportunities to work on many different projects -Red tape is minimal and the organization's operations run smoothly
Cons
-You are expected to "do more with less" -A lot of the leaders are arrogant and don't actually want to hear what their subordinates have to say -Doctors walk on water and expect everyone to cater to their needs -There is a lack of manners, and everyone thinks they are busier than everyone else; you will have to pick-up trash after meetings/events because people think they are above throwing their trash away -You can "fully meet expectations" in your annual review and receive a 1% "merit-based" raise, which doesn't even cover cost of living -Unless you change departments, there are minimal advancement opportunities -They charge for parking and you will still have to walk across campus to get to your office -Most benefits are being taken away and the cost of healthcare is rising
