      Pros

      The students are wonderful and eager, and enjoy being challenged.

      Cons

      Senior faculty in my department who has been there for decades has no desire to grow or change with the times. They have such superiority complexes that when challenged they become angry. This faculty member/chair cared more about themselves and the “glory” of being chair than supporting our students and mentoring junior faculty.

      Excellent! Supportive work environment and flexible schedule. I had the opportunity to strengthen my communication and teaching skills while working with faculty and students.

      Cons

      As a student employee, opportunities for advancement can be somewhat limited after graduation.
