Pros
You spend so much time working and away from your family. At Closet Factory- Columbia, SC my coworkers are like family. We are tight knit and all strive to provide the best product and customer service to clients. We have fun at work, and the team effort means you are never alone trying to solve problems when they arise. I started as a designer and was promoted to sales manager after a few years. There is always an opportunity to grow and advance. I love that we are always trying to improve the process for not only clients but our designers. Having the latest software, helping to get paperwork more efficient and accurate to help speed up the process for the office and designers and clients. I love the flexibility of the job and the ability to be out in the field with designers training or in the office working behind the scenes. I love the product we offer. When life events happen you have great support. Our location offers great benefits with a 401k matching program. Health insurance. Vacation days, on the job training. It’s been amazing to watch our location grow and advance over the last 5 years that I have been with them.
Cons
At times it can be a stressful position. Trying to find the right designers to add to the team and grow. You have to find the balance of someone who can excel in sales but be a creative person as well. You may work after typical hours if designers need help. You are constantly training and teaching.
