Pros

I've worked for several different companies, and CoBank is by far the nicest place I have worked. About once a quarter the executive management holds an open meeting with all employees where they talk about the business, and any employee can ask any question. That takes courage. CoBank is also very generous. Other companies have a lot of volatility in benefits, bonuses, and even whether people still have jobs because they do lay-offs, and I always feel that CoBank is consistent and stable. I trust my manager, and I trust my coworkers. I've been around enough to know that every company has great managers and employees, and some who aren't as great. Dealing with that part takes time, and I've personally seen evidence that CoBank management pays attention to issues, and addresses them. I think CoBank is one of the best places to work in Denver and I feel lucky to be a part of a great company with a great mission.

Cons

CoBank employees are spread across the country and work on many different floors in the main headquarters. I wish there were more opportunities for interaction between departments so I knew more people at the bank.

Pros

Financially speaking CoBank is a stable company. The yearly bonus payout is competitive,

Cons

It's referred to as "CoBank nice" which is another way of saying it's a passive-aggressive culture. If you dislike endless meetings, this environment can be frustrating. Strong resistance to change at the leadership levels - despite claims of being focused on transformation, real progress is very limited. Extremely slow pace. Recent months have brought significant organizational and leadership changes, but very little acknowledgement about the impact those changes have on associates. PTO is definitely not competitive.
