Pros

Leadership is extremely supportive of their employees. They reward talented individuals and the company isn't afraid to make the investment in them. The mission if the company makes the culture unique and with the size of the company, everyone is approachable, c-suite down. Great benefits, 401k, compensation, and annual bonus program. In addition, you have two $250 awards that you can give out to other employees to thank them for going above and beyond. Finally, they care about the community. They invest into the communities they serve and even give their associates the ability to direct a $500 contribution to the charity of their choice.

Cons

CoBank and especially IT was slow to move. While that provided a stable working environment, it meant that we weren't developing new and better products for our customers. Now that we have moved to SAFe, people are realizing their skill set isn't as valuable as they had been previously led to believe. Corporate culture isn't toxic, but it has become less personal over the years.

Pros

Financially speaking CoBank is a stable company. The yearly bonus payout is competitive,

Cons

It's referred to as "CoBank nice" which is another way of saying it's a passive-aggressive culture. If you dislike endless meetings, this environment can be frustrating. Strong resistance to change at the leadership levels - despite claims of being focused on transformation, real progress is very limited. Extremely slow pace. Recent months have brought significant organizational and leadership changes, but very little acknowledgement about the impact those changes have on associates. PTO is definitely not competitive.
