Pros
I worked at Code3 for just under three years and genuinely enjoyed my time at the company. I learned so much from my manager and bonded with my team, forming friendships that will last well beyond my time at the company. I left mainly because I felt like I had reached my potential and there wasn't much more I could do to grow in my role & because I received an offer that I knew Code3 could not reasonably match. The people at Code3 are what makes it a great place to work. I loved coming to work each day and getting to collaborate with such fun, smart people. Had it not been for my amazing team, I do not know if my experience would have been as stellar. Code3 makes a great effort to recognize good work, giving out gift cards worth hundreds of dollars, incentive gifts from clients, shoutouts, etc. The effort to improve morale is definitely there – whether it is successful or not is a different story.
Cons
After rebranding from SocialCode to Code3, I felt that the entire team struggled to create morale internally and people would often complain or feel like leadership did not understand their needs. My team specifically was insulated from a lot of the office politics, but we still struggled with getting help from HR when we had issues with management. Management and leadership specifically felt very disorganized and chaotic, with roles and team leadership positions changing constantly. It often felt like no one knew what they were doing and they just made things up as they went along and hiring new leadership roles without understanding why or making sure that their roles were useful.
