Pros

Many opportunities to create new systems and processes for the company. Great employees and staff at the Edmonds location who treat local staff with respect and love. Day-to-day work as a senior living representative is rewarding and impactful.

Cons

Management outside the community were careless, unorganized, and thoughtless with their leadership. As a community relations director, you are asked to do about 5 jobs in one with no support and are ultimately held accountable to filling the building, admissions (and creating all the processes for admissions), lead management, all tours, networking, community outreach, doctor/medical visits, hospital evaluations, social media management, interior design and marketing, sales strategy, and community relations with other like senior living professionals. The time commitment changed weekly from M-F to Tue-Saturday to on call most days of the week. Almost no resources were given to support my role and I was told they were in a "start-up" mentality so do whatever I could to fill the building. While I aggressively brought in families and increased occupancy from 63% to 84% in 3 months, I was pulled around by 3 different leaders with 3 different priorities which ultimately increased how many hours I worked and increased my responsibilities to the point where I had no work/life balance and needed to step away from the job.

Pros

The pay is higher than most in this is area

Cons

Everyone knows each other from other facilities. They ignore the concerns of the caregivers/med techs if they arent part of the favorited circle. They never did an orientation and then force you out the door once you have a medical limitation. The RCC is a joke. The hr lady is another issue she acts like shes better than you when the ed isnt around and then all nicey nice when the ed is aroud. I would never recommend this place to work. They expect us to take care of all residents without a 10 minute break because there is no time cause the ratio between staff and residents is not equal to where we would be able to. But forced to take a 45 minute meal break. And if we are 1 minute late getting to work we get yelled at, but not not able to clockin early.
