Pros

The service floor team is great to work with. Everyone tries their absolute best to assist with the ever changing climate of service operations. The pay is greatly above average and you have a decent work/life balance.

Cons

There are multiple service floor members who have been planted by leadership to report back on others to get them reprimanded. The climate is forever changing in this place and leadership seems to love it. The pay is a bait to get you in and you will quickly understand why. Leadership is an absolute joke! They are very negative, display favoritism and retaliation. The department I was in was completely chaotic and it was evident that management had no clue what they are doing. Leadership bullies team member and have to respect for others.

Cohere Health Response

At Cohere, we value team members' feedback, we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We strive to provide an environment where team members are comfortable speaking with their leaders and providing real time feedback. We wish we could have received your input while you were with Cohere and would have enjoyed partnering together to make positive improvements. As a startup organization there are items that are being developed and implemented often to help fine tune our processes. Cohere’s adjustments in processes are intentional and based off of feedback from our team members and providers experiences. One of our greatest assets at Cohere Health is the people. The team members who are processing the work everyday are important and the ideas and feedback shared with the Leadership team is extremely valued. The leadership team works directly with the team members to quickly and effectively implement change. Based on feedback from many team members, we were able to increase the amount of support provided to each work function, which provides quick responses to questions that arise. The people who are in the rooms are there to support Cohere team members, not to reprimand. The plan of the day is an item that Cohere shares with the team members as another form of communication. We will be taking a look at our current process to identify areas of improvement for the plan of the day to make this easier for our team members. We wish you the best in your future endeavors. Thank you again for your feedback.

Pros

Remote position, effective AI tools

Cons

Aggressive productivity standards enacted after being employed for a short time: 2 months. Low pay compared to similar work at other legacy insurance companies. You are told when training that as long as you follow the Work Instructions and ensure doing the prior authorizations correctly- you will be fine. But Work Instructions are NOT updated, then it is challenging to find the answer. Slack is used for searching and asking questions, or visiting one of the multiple Zoom rooms. You are on camera for entire shift in a Zoom room. It seemed to me leadership does not care about precision and doing the job thouroughly but more so doing as many cases as possible- yet you are audited to do cases a certain way and that certain way differs from one Subject Matter Expert (SME) to another. The nurses are teaching the AI chatbot how to get smarter and take over doing the simpler cases, But the chatbot assists the nurses as well all while the nurses are teaching the chatbot.
