- Very long hours - they will work you to death. You will be working at least 12 hours a day Monday-Friday and half day Saturday during busy hours.
-Unrealistic billable hours - management set the hours and don’t care if you meet it if they like you. If they don’t like you, they will make “not meeting the billable hours” the reason when they fire you.
- Pay - low pay comparing to market and sometimes you get cheated out of bonuses even though you were nominated because “not enough spot”. And spot bonus after taxes is only couple hundred dollars.
- Retention - they are willing to let go of competent people during pandemic and keep the suck up and dumb staffs on payroll. Offer full time positions to air-headed interns because the he/she is a “nice person” that has no idea what a balance sheet is.
- 401k - very low matching - start giving 1.5% with 5 years vesting
- you will be living on the edge because your coworkers would get fired or quit left and right and you wonder when it’s your turn.
I left the firm and never look back.
