Pros
Fantastic location. Friendly people and a very good working atmosphere. Pay went up recently. Generally good benefits package.
Cons
Postdocs are seen as a temporary labour force. So longer term benefits like pensions are not good. Employer prefers postdocs who publish one or two great studies then move on. So few incentives to nuture long-term talent. This is reflected in somewhat spare core facilities.
