After receiving an offer from another company I see just how uncompetitive Colliers compensation packages are. PTO is extremely low and categorized so you can’t take much time off each year and the total amount accrued up to 4 weeks for vacation. 401K matching is about 5x less than another offer I have received. Maternity leave is not fully paid for 12 weeks. Healthcare costs have increased each year. Public transit is not provided, except for a $50 reimbursement each month. Management has requested the staff bring offers they receive so Colliers can counter. However when I brought my offer, there was no action by management. I’m told I am valued and would be hard to replace but no action is taken by management to keep me as a valued member of the company. Instead the team of brokers I work with must supplement my pay in order for it to be competitive with the market and keep me as a valued member of their team.
