Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective on working at Colliers Engineering & Design. We are pleased to hear you view our benefits and pay as positives. However, your feedback about inconsistent policies and lack of unified procedures across our growing company is concerning. As we scale our operations, we recognize the need to continually improve our internal processes and make them more efficient. Our goal is to operate seamlessly and consistently company-wide, regardless of size. We would appreciate if you could elaborate on where specifically you experienced inconsistency. Please feel free to reach out to our Chief People Officer, Allison Colantuoni, to discuss this in more detail. Your insights will be invaluable as we work to streamline our policies and procedures across all business units and teams. Thank you again for your candor - it will help us become an even better workplace.

Pros

Flexible schedule & ability to work remote or hybrid

Cons

The company does not communicate effectively among all staff. Upper management treats as-needed staff like they are trash and they don't take time to understand the discipline that they are in charge of. When the department is understaffed, the employees are told to just "work harder" instead of hiring more people. They interview people, make them believe they have a shot, then the managers ghosts them. Even though they label themselves as having "competitive" salaries, they pay less than some smaller companies. Large bonuses only go to managers after their staff does all the hard work. Regular staff gets small bonuses and baby raises each year. A lot of people resign after they refuse to do bigger raises because they can get hired for a lot more at other companies. Upper management also ignores all communication from regular staff. There are no repercussions to Upper management when there are HR complaints about them. Advancement in the company is super slow.
