For the most part people are very nice to work with and for. More laid back environment. If you work within the Education side, this is an excellent environment to work. The Board, President, and VP's of the college truly have the best interest of the students, faculty and staff in mind. Unfortunately they can't be all places at all times to see some of the things going on. CIO and Above A+

Where to start. Health Benefits: D- There is nothing the college can do about this. The benefits are the same ones that all state employees "enjoy". They have gone down hill. Pay Rate: C- IT Related Only: CIO and Above A+ Some Management below CIO: F- Some IT Managers treat employees most employees with the least amount of respect unless the CIO or above is present. There is definitely an in-crowd and undying loyalty to the director level is rewarded with promotions, even if the prospect is not qualified. These people are promoted because they often do not meet the minimum qualifications set in HR and therefore would be ineligible for consideration. High Turnover. Use of old outdated technology like Novell because the in-group knows nothing else. They should take some of the classes offered at the college and start using Active Directory so that they can do things like run a SUS server or use Group Policies to push down updates and have better management over hosts. Should allow employees to get at least some professional development. A lot of people start there and watch their skills stagnate to become completely obsolete. College overall is also in the process of consolidating many positions. This just puts the same amount of work of multiple people on, in many cases, one person.
