Pros
Overall, Columbia is a great place to work. The people are what makes working at CSC so enjoyable - I have never worked with a better group. There is a difficult balance of being a publicly traded company and creating a culture that is grounded in humanity - there have been some big shifts in the past few years. Recent efforts to lower SG&A have hurt the culture and employee morale. Being a long tenured employee, I know this is a wave to ride out, and that things WILL get better. CSC provides great benefits and at-market compensation, with lots of perks, a great time off program, professional development, and tons of opportunities to connect outside of meetings and projects, with parties and social events almost weekly.
Cons
The company is currently going through some big shifts with re-orgs and moving jobs outside of the U.S. This has hurt morale and jeopardized the unique culture that employees value and stay for. That said, the current state is not not a situation that is unique to CSC.
