Pros
My work is engaging, the problem I’m tackling are significant and affect the business. Senior leadership takes my opinion seriously and values my input. Pay is good enough, peers are great people, everyone wants to see the brand succeed. Also love working for an outdoor brand.
Cons
There is a reticence to change from what we are currently doing even though it is not bringing interest and consideration to the brand. Leadership is aware of that, so it’s not that they don’t want to make changes, but they are very tentative. That can be good and bad, but as the brand slips towards irrelevance, quick and decisive leadership is necessary. Communicating that vision and stating the clear path forward, telling leadership to get in line with that plan will all all need to happen to make those changes possible.
