Pros

The hourly staff and most managers were wonderful to work with. Decent Health coverage and matching 401-K. Generous vacation policy.

Cons

The Store Manager was incredibly bad. He talked behind everyones back and was psychotic. He was totally unempathetic to other coworkers. Suffered from emotionally arrested development. Liked to start out morning meetings by telling everyone how bad they were and threatening to fire the staff. He united the entire store as a team because they all hated and distrusted him. After two plus years he was fired. Too many complaints accumulated in his personnel file I guess. Nearly every other manager quit just to get away from him. Some quit even without other jobs to go to in the middle of the great recession--thats how bad it was.

Pros

Good work-life balance and benefits.

Cons

What was once a pro for culture has now become a con. Uncertainty due to massive layoffs. Remote work has been largely eliminated, and thus flexibility has decreased signficantly. Offshore and AI initiatives to reduce local US workforce. Although collaboration is encouraged, departments are siloed and operate independently which causes significant inefficiencies costing the company millions of dollars. Diversity is also lacking in a number of departments. Over reliance on external consultants instead of leveraging internal expertise.
