Pros

Good training program for a brand new outlet team. They flew in another manager/trainer for a week's worth of product and values training. A store manager makes or breaks a retail working experience and I lucked out and am glad to work for our current one - days off are always accommodated and the company provided lunches for the first few weeks while we were getting the store set up. Ballistics/profit share is a nice, albeit small, bonus at the end of the month. There's always new sales every week or so and the employee discount is applied on top of it.

Cons

Hired part-time but holiday hours were 40+ per week for many of the employees (not unusual for retail though). No room for promotion or benefits and all employees besides management are part-time. Has high turnover that's expected for retail.

Pros

Positive environment, great training, pride in products and technology.

Cons

Seasonal employees get "up to 25 hours" but I have only been scheduled up to 15 hours a week.

Pros

Good work-life balance and benefits.

Cons

What was once a pro for culture has now become a con. Uncertainty due to massive layoffs. Remote work has been largely eliminated, and thus flexibility has decreased signficantly. Offshore and AI initiatives to reduce local US workforce. Although collaboration is encouraged, departments are siloed and operate independently which causes significant inefficiencies costing the company millions of dollars. Diversity is also lacking in a number of departments. Over reliance on external consultants instead of leveraging internal expertise.
