Pros

Very cool location. One of the first things they tell new employees during orientation is that employees will receive a Rolex for working there for 10 years and a brand new car for working there 20 years. The CEO has box seats at the United Center and free passes to the Field Museum for employees.

Cons

ComPsych appears to be an amazing company when you first start working. People (co-workers) are friendly and enthusiastic and constantly rave about how wonderful it is to work there. Bottom line- ComPsych does not care about their employees, which is strange, because it is an Employee Assistance Program. ComPsych is strictly a business. It is a huge, and very successful business, continuing to grow, despite the fact that they fire people at the drop of a hat and have no compassion or empathy. They only care about their "accounts"- CocaCola, McDonald's, AT&T, etc. and how much they are getting paid by them, thus labeling some companies as "VIP." They claim that there is lots of opportunity for promotion, and this is not true. The salary was actually the lowest I had experienced, and the benefits were not good. Before accepting a job here, I would advise every person to read these reviews and think very carefully about the type of place this really is.

Very stable employer with many opportunities for learning and growth. Ability to work fully-remote and employer provides the necessary technology for you. Full benefits and perks provided at service anniversaries.

Cons

Like most employer now PTO is limited to start, but is more generous later.

Pros

I have spent many years in many different organizations. I can honestly say that I feel more at home at Compsych than anywhere else in my career. The work brings me into contact with peers who are extremely helpful and kind. Upper levels of management are approachable and interested in suggestions and the success of the employees. I am very happy to be spending my years before retirement in such an environment.

Cons

Contact with the public, of course, has drawbacks. There can be people who are very, very difficult to deal with. I am trying to learn how to let it go and move on.
