Pros
In a time when friends are being let go to save costs. I've felt secure in my role at Comcast. My team is strong and I feel like I contribute value to the overall mission statement. After working a short time here I feel my efforts reaching leadership levels and them responding with grace and gratitude for my efforts. I will be at this company for a long time to come because of the value I place on my receptive and responsible leadership.
Cons
Silo work forces always encounter delays and trouble when working across teams. I feel as though my team is very competent and when we are forced to enlist help from outside groups the response of our initiatives is hurt. Enterprise companies, especially one so high profile, must have silos. Understanding that I still wish cross department initiatives were easier to navigate. Maybe this is less a Comcast con and more of a "large company" con.
