Pros

Company is small enough that you can still make a difference. New corporate philosophy based on following core values. Making good changes in the home office and the company has a lot of potential.

Cons

Not everyone lives by the company core values however they hold everyone accountable. Still a long time before everything trickles down to the community level. Many pockets of poor leadership exist and lack of accountability!

We at Commonwealth appreciate you recognizing that there is a new company focus on following our CORE values. We are working to create a company that does “have your back” and we want to do the right thing. We understand that as we work to make major changes/improvements within the company that it doesn’t happen overnight. I would appreciate gaining more information on how we could have done better, and would appreciate you reaching out directly to me to discuss your thoughts/suggestions/feedback. You can reach me at hr@commonwealthal.com. Again, thank you for your feedback.

Pros

Good benefits, clean building, easy hiring process.

Cons

Management could care less what was going on. I was so excited to start here and really looking forward to this job. I quickly realized during my training that everyone was in the “clique” and if you weren’t in the “clique” they wanted you out so that they could get someone that they knew hired. It seemed like everyone was related to everyone in someway or another whether you were a CNA, custodian, kitchen staff. They played favorites. I watched a CNA get a $4000 bonus right at Christmas to go towards a down payment for a car. This gift was given to her by a residents family. We were told in training we were not to accept gifts whatsoever from families. But nobody did anything. I got fired for being sick one day but yet I watched somebody show up hours late on Christmas after I missed Christmas with my kids to work short staffed. All in all an awful place to work. Management needs to do better.
