Poor leadership and Human Resources openly lie to cover themselves - Medical Social Worker Community Health System Employee Review

Pros

Coworkers are good people. Lots of decent folks.

Cons

Leadership will openly violate state and federal policy. Human Resources will open lie to protect leadership and the company. Bottom line is they dot care about employees. They will just churn employees out. Low opportunity to advance. Pay us poor compared to other opportunities. Senior management only cares about warm bodies to avoid state and federal sanctions. Toxic workplace trickles down from executive leadership. Don't go to Human Resources with legitimate concerns of workplace harassment from leadership, sexual harassment, FMLA violations-they (HR) will side with leadership to facilitate your exit from the organization.

Pros

Great learning opportunities. Overall friendly and supportive staff.

Cons

ED pushes patients to your floor in an unsafe manner. There’s no wait time in between patient transfers. You could get a patient, start your assessment and then get another one while still doing your assessment and have no clue if the new patient is bleeding out or unstable. Incredibly dangerous for the patient and the nurse. Not enough PCT’s. I feel stressed a lot at every shift. The computers are so slow and they log out of every session with tap out which is annoying cause you have to reopen epic every single time. The keyboard trays and monitor arms are all broke in the patient rooms. The discharge lounge is more work than actually discharging your patient yourself.
