Remote work, flexible work schedules (including option of working Mon-Thurs days with every Friday off), VERY kind supportive co-workers. The PURPOSE of our work is evident, we make a positive impact in people's lives every single day. The people we serve appreciate us. This is a very values driven agency, meaning all decisions are made based on what is going to produce the best life outcomes for the people we serve (children and adults with disabilities).

The majority of our employees are social workers - it is a stressful field to be in. We also have to follow the directives of our funders/contract holders, so decisions are made above us at times which we do not agree with, that can be frustrating. We try to overcome the stress by staying focused on always doing right by the people we serve.

I was lucky to have a few coworkers who would help and show me how to do things here.

The job was overwhelming. Management won't let you take it easy from the moment you join. I was given all sorts of things to do on my first day without prior instructions! I had to learn things by myself because there was no training!!!
