      Pros

      I would recommend this internship to other students. Not only does it relate to our MPA degree program, but the colleagues here were very friendly, and my supervisor helped me a lot during the entire internship. This internship gave me the experience in a nonprofit environment, and it reinforced my thoughts of working in the non-profit sector.

      → Meaningful work with crisis patients → Decent pay and benefits on paper → Some wonderful frontline coworkers

      Cons

      → Toxic clique culture among certain leads and supervisors that HR refuses to address → Experienced nurses with clean records are suddenly targeted with anonymous complaints and unfair investigations → Extremely high turnover (90%+ in some teams) speaks for itself → Management plays favorites; if you’re not in the inner circle, you’re eventually pushed out
